It is a regular Thursday night and while most moms/wives are getting ready to make/eat dinner, watch Grey’s Anatomy and settle in for the evening I am in my car driving to Bowling Green, Kentucky for a Hermes Franca MMA Seminar. HaHa

The seminar was great and Hermes is a very dynamic instructor. If you are looking for a good mix of MMA and BJJ in a seminar you should look into bringing Hermes into your school. Hermes has this booming voice that demands attention and he spent enough time on each move so you could learn but not too much time that you got bored with the repetition. Dan and Ethan Coghill (who is from The Sandbox) both had a great time!

Our good friend, Josh Johnson, hosted the seminar. Josh owns the school in Bowling Green and one in Elizabethtown Kentucky. He is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under Luiz Palhares who is a 6th degree black belt under Rickson Gracie. Josh also holds his black belt in Judo. He has a great group of guys who train and fight under him. Josh expects his fighters to be respectful and professional and that in itself tells you that he and his guys are true martial artists.
